- Expectations for inducing visitors to stay overnight with night views, experiences, busking, and food
The area around Expo Bridge is transforming into a night tourism space so that tourists visiting the Daejeon Bread Festival can continue enjoying the night of the festival.
Daejeon City, together with the Daejeon Tourism Organization, will operate the "2026 Delight Expo Bridge" at Expo Bridge from October 16 to 18.
This event is a unique festival program in Daejeon designed in conjunction with the "2026 Daejeon Bread Festival" to allow visitors to enjoy the night views of Expo Bridge and the Gapcheon stream while increasing their length of stay in Daejeon.
Expo Bridge will feature relaxation areas to enjoy the night view, experience booths, and food and beverage booths. The experience programs consist of making acrylic mood lamps, MBTI keycap keyrings, glow-in-the-dark beaded bracelets, and glowing postcard decoration, with participation available for free or a fee depending on the program.
Busking performances by local artists will also be held, allowing visitors to enjoy food, performances, and experiences together. The event will run from 5 PM to 9 PM on October 16, and from 1 PM to 9 PM on October 17 and 18.
Various night tourism contents can also be enjoyed around the event venue. At the lawn square of Hanbat Arboretum, extra-large inflatable sculptures of Dreamgori and Dreamsooni, which were previously exhibited at Gapcheon Ecological Lake Park, will be relocated and exhibited to add to the night attractions.
In addition, night moon boats will be specially operated along the Gapcheon stream from October 13 to 18, and visitors can easily travel to the surrounding event venue by using "D-Universe," a night-specialized double-decker bus circulating between Daejeon Station East Square, Hanbat Arboretum, and Hanbit Tower Water Light Square.
Daejeon Mayor Heo Tae-jung stated, "We hope that visitors who found the Bread Festival will experience the night of Daejeon while enjoying the night view, performances, and experiences at Expo Bridge," adding, "We will strive to connect the festival with surrounding tourism resources so that visitors can find various joys in staying longer in Daejeon."
Detailed information regarding the event can be found on the official Daejeon Night Tourism blog and Instagram (@light_daejeon).
