ZANZIBAR – Preparations are in full swing for the 22nd Sauti za Busara Festival, set to ignite Zanzibar's music scene from tomorrow until Sunday. Organizers promise an unforgettable experience for music lovers worldwide, showcasing a vibrant fusion of traditional and modern sounds across four stages, including the historic Old Fort, Forodhani, and Fumba Town.

A key highlight of this year's festival is the "Swahili Encounters" project. This collaborative effort brings together a diverse group of talented local and international artists to create unique musical compositions under the guidance of renowned South African composer and singer, Asanda Mvana (Msaki). The collaboration features artists from Tanzania, South Africa, Sudan, and Uganda, promising an exciting blend of musical styles.

The "Swahili Encounters" performances will showcase a fusion of African rhythms and contemporary sounds. Participating artists include Pendo Hukwe Zawose (Tanzania) on vocals and ngoma, Leah Noahani Zawose (Tanzania) on vocals and ngoma, Muzi (South Africa) on vocals, Mohammed Adam (Sudan) on percussion and vocals, and many more. This diverse lineup emphasizes the unifying power of music and promises unforgettable moments for festival attendees.

Beyond the electrifying music, the festival will also offer a taste of Zanzibar's rich cultural heritage. Attendees can indulge in local delicacies and immerse themselves in the island's enchanting atmosphere.
