This agreement ceremony was prepared as a venue for public-private cooperation to inherit traditional filial piety culture in a modern context and to connect the spirit of "Daejeon Love" with daily practice among citizens.
Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo and Daejeon Metropolitan City Superintendent of Education Seol Dong-ho also attended the event, encouraging the signatory organizations and urging them to unite their efforts for the realization of citizen-centered values.
According to the agreement, each organization will jointly promote various practical projects including ▲creating a culture of filial piety, ▲hosting filial piety-related events and public relations activities for citizens, and ▲discovering customized "filial love" content for the region. Furthermore, they plan to actively cooperate in establishing a continuous cooperation system and discovering new projects in the future.
Mayor Lee Jang-woo stated, "The value of filial piety culture is aligned with the spirit of Daejeon Love, and I hope this agreement will expand beyond the inheritance of tradition to become a civic movement that includes future generations."
Kang Chang-seon, Chairman of the Bareunsalgi Movement Daejeon Metropolitan City Council, said, "The Bareunsalgi Movement Council has been recognizing filial sons and daughters for over 30 years, and through this agreement, we will take the lead in developing filial piety culture and Daejeon Love into a civic movement."
