Daejeon City has produced and distributed the '2025 Youth Employment Support Guide' to help young people prepare for employment. This guide, linked with the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Youth Growth Project, is designed to allow young people to easily identify the employment policies they need depending on their situation.
Daejeon City announced on the 7th that it has produced and distributed the '2025 Daejeon Youth Employment Support Guide' to help young people easily find job support policies that suit them during their job preparation process.
Breaking away from the previous supplier-centric, policy-listing format, this guide is structured to inform young people about necessary policies at each stage of employment, including self-diagnosis, career planning, interviews, and recruitment, from their perspective.
Additionally, it is linked with the e-book "Daejeon Iljari Modu Japgo" (Daejeon Jobs for All), published in April, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor's employment preparation portal "2025 Employment Preparation Nuri-jip" (website), allowing users to check detailed policy content and monthly major program schedules via QR codes.
This material is part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's 'Youth Growth Project' public contest and will serve as a key auxiliary tool to help young people easily understand and participate in employment policies.
The '2025 Youth Employment Support Guide' can be accessed by visiting Daejeon's local youth cafes or through the Daejeon City Hall website (www.daejeon.go.kr) and the Youth Growth Project website (jobdaejeon.or.kr/djyouthgrowth).
There are a total of three Daejeon City youth cafes: 'Daejeon Job Support Center' in Seonhwa-dong, Jung-gu; 'Dong-gu Dongrak' in Jayang-dong, Dong-gu; and 'Cheongchun Jeonggeojang' inside the Froebel Building in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu. Each offers various customized programs.
Kwon Kyung-min, Director-General of Daejeon City's Economy Bureau, stated, "We hope this employment support guide will serve as a practical roadmap for young people in the region preparing for job searches," adding, "Daejeon City will continue to provide various policy supports for young people who are doing their best amidst fierce job competition."
