Dongdaejeon Library will host the "Hello, Our Neighborhood Library" urban sketch exhibition for 23 days, from Friday, July 5th to Saturday, July 27th, in the library's exhibition hall and hallway.
This exhibition will feature approximately 60 urban sketch artworks depicting the alleys and everyday scenes of Gayang-dong, Seongnam-dong, and Soje-dong, areas near Dongdaejeon Library. Two artists, Kim So-hyung and Jo Hyun-hwa, personally expressed the atmosphere of these regions, where change and time coexist, through their sketches.
The artworks artistically capture familiar street scenes, offering visitors the experience of discovering something special within ordinary neighborhood landscapes.
The exhibition space will also feature recommended books with regional backgrounds, allowing visitors to experience the area from various perspectives through both art and literature.
A library official stated, "This exhibition is an opportunity to illuminate the landscapes of our neighborhood, which we often overlook in our daily lives, from a new perspective. We hope that local residents will once again feel the beauty of the neighborhood they live in through this exhibition, where art and books harmonize."
