Seoul, South Korea – The Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) and the Korea Robot Fusion Research Institute announced today a strategic partnership to drive innovation in advanced robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). The collaboration was formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed at KETI’s Robot Plus Test Field in Gangnam District, Seoul.

Under the agreement, the two institutes will pool their resources and expertise to undertake joint research and development projects in areas such as AI, robotics, and automation. Specific areas of focus include:

Joint R&D: Collaborative efforts to develop cutting-edge technologies in AI and robotics.
Manufacturing Ecosystem Enhancement: Strengthening the manufacturing ecosystem to improve industrial competitiveness.
Technology Commercialization: Accelerating the commercialization of new technologies.
Global Collaboration: Building a global network to foster international cooperation and technology exchange.
KETI, a leading research institute in electronics and information technology, opened the Robot Plus Test Field in July to provide a state-of-the-art facility for testing and validating robotic technologies. The facility is equipped with over 80 advanced robots and related equipment, supporting a wide range of activities, including R&D, technical support, and workforce training.

The Korea Robot Fusion Research Institute is dedicated to research, development, and commercialization of robotics technologies. The institute plays a pivotal role in nurturing the domestic robotics industry by developing roadmaps for technology development and policy, as well as fostering a skilled workforce.
