Gyeongnam Techno Park to Support Semiconductor Component and Equipment Development

Gyeongnam Techno Park (hereinafter referred to as Gyeongnam TP) announced on the 9th that it will be recruiting beneficiary companies for the 'Gyeongnam Semiconductor Component and Equipment Technology Development Project' until the 28th to support the Gyeongnam semiconductor industry.
This recruitment of beneficiary companies is intended to support small and medium-sized enterprises related to semiconductor parts, materials, and equipment to enter the semiconductor industry by utilizing the machinery and material industry infrastructure in the Gyeongnam region. A total of 5 companies will be selected and supported with a total of 150 million won from the provincial budget this year.
Eligible companies are small and medium-sized enterprises located in Gyeongnam that are related to the semiconductor industry, and up to 25 million won per company will be provided for the development of prototypes and product advancement in the semiconductor field.
"Through the Gyeongnam Semiconductor Parts and Equipment Industry Technology Development Support Project, we will intensively foster the localization of semiconductor parts and equipment, which are the core areas of the future semiconductor market, and contribute to the discovery of future food industry in the region," said Kim Jeong-hwan, head of Gyeongnam TP.
Meanwhile, Gyeongnam Province and Gyeongnam TP have been supporting the development of semiconductor-related parts and equipment technologies of companies in the province since last year to revitalize the system semiconductor, which is a weak part of the domestic semiconductor industry, and will gradually expand corporate support projects.
