Seoul, South Korea – In a bid to ease the burden of rising prices on consumers, E-mart has announced significant discounts on its holiday gift sets. With inflation hitting hard, the retailer has focused on lowering the cost of fresh food items such as fruits and beef, which account for a substantial portion of their gift set sales.
E-mart has managed to maintain the same prices for its beef gift sets as last year. This was made possible by strategic planning and increased production at the company's meat processing center. By securing beef at a lower price point last year and ramping up production, E-mart has been able to absorb some of the increased costs.
Fruit gift sets have also seen significant price reductions. Apples and Shine Muscat, popular choices for holiday gifts, are being offered at prices that are up to 30% lower than last year. This is due to a combination of favorable growing conditions and early planning.
Despite rising prices for some seafood, particularly dried yellow croaker, E-mart has managed to maintain competitive prices through bulk purchasing. By pooling resources with its sister companies, E-mart has been able to negotiate better deals with suppliers and pass on the savings to consumers.
“We are committed to helping our customers during this challenging time,” said Hwang Woon-gi, head of E-mart’s merchandise division. “By offering discounted gift sets and new, affordable options, we hope to alleviate some of the financial pressure that many people are facing.”
With these price reductions and new product offerings, E-mart is aiming to make the holiday season more affordable for its customers.
