Asunción - A new edition of "Explorarte Asunción 2025" (Exploring Asunción 2025), an educational and cultural project spearheaded by the Office of the First Lady of Paraguay (OPD), has been announced. This project aims to provide children and adolescents from the inland regions of Paraguay with the opportunity to experience the historical, cultural, and musical heritage of the capital city, Asunción.

The official announcement event will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Baudilio Alió Hall of the Asunción Municipal Theater and will be open to the general public free of charge. María Victoria Sosa, Director of the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN), stated, "This initiative is designed through the collaboration of several institutions so that children from the interior of the country can get closer to the historical, cultural, and musical heritage of the capital."

This multidisciplinary and immersive project offers students belonging to the national education system the chance to explore the historical district of Asunción. The program culminates in an educational concert provided by the National Symphony Orchestra, complementing the visits to cultural landmarks. Sosa added, "Through this concert, children and adolescents will learn about each instrument of the orchestra, explore different timbres and sounds, and experience the richness of national and international musical art."

In particular, "Explorarte Asunción 2025" places a significant focus on highlighting 'Guarania', a unique Paraguayan musical genre declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. This aims to emphasize the central role of Guarania music in the formation of Paraguayan identity.

The announcement event for this project is expected to be attended by representatives from the organizing institutions, teachers, artists, and figures from the cultural and educational sectors. "Explorarte Asunción 2025" is anticipated to contribute to the promotion of the right to cultural enjoyment for Paraguayan children and adolescents.

This project is a collaborative effort between the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN), the Ministry of Education and Sciences (MEC), the General Directorate of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Asunción (DGCT), the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC), and the transportation company Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (NSA).

The "Explorarte Asunción 2025" project offers a valuable opportunity for future generations to experience and understand Paraguay's rich cultural heritage, and it is expected to contribute to fostering cultural pride.
