Samsung Electronics Launches New Budget Smartphones in India to Increase Global Market Share

Samsung Electronics is releasing a series of new budget smartphones in India, a market with a population of 1.4 billion. The company recently launched the cheapest 5G smartphone in India and is preparing to release new models. Samsung is also revamping its more than 3,000 local service centers. This is seen as a strategy to increase global market share by targeting India's strong domestic market.

According to local media and industry sources on the 25th, Samsung Electronics recently launched the 'Galaxy F06 5G', the cheapest 5G smartphone in India. The model with '4GB RAM and 128GB storage' is only 9,499 rupees (about 157,000 won), and the '6GB RAM and 128GB storage' model is only 10,999 rupees (about 181,000 won).

This model is designed to be useful for watching content or playing games with a large 6.7-inch display. The rear has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The front camera is 8 megapixels. It also has a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The mobile processor (AP) uses MediaTek's 'Dimensity 6300'. The release date is the 12th of this month (local time).

On the 19th, the 'Galaxy A06 5G' was released for about 170,000 to 210,000 won. This model also has the same chipset as the Galaxy F06 5G. Unlike the previous work, which only released LTE models, it also released 5G models. It is composed of a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model sold for 10,499 rupees, △4GB RAM and 128GB storage (11,499 rupees) △6GB and 128GB storage (12,999 rupees). Camera specifications, display size, and battery capacity are the same as the F06.

The strength of the A06 is revealed in the 'Voice Focus' function. Samsung Electronics introduced the voice focus function to smartphones for the first time in the Indian market. Voice focus is a function that separates ambient noise and makes the call voice clear. It helps to make calls smoothly even in noisy environments.
