Chef Jeong Ji-sun Reveals Plans to Keep His Son Out of the Family Business

Renowned chef Jeong Ji-sun has shared that he will not be passing down his culinary empire to his son. During a recent appearance on the cooking show "Supermarket," the celebrity chef revealed his plans for his son's future.
While demonstrating a dish for actress Gi Eun-sae, Jeong shared that he had recently started learning English, driven by his son's questions. "I didn't really want to learn English, but my son keeps asking me questions," he explained. "I feel like I should be able to answer as a mother, but I don't know anything."
When asked about his son's future aspirations, Jeong revealed that his son dreams of becoming a soccer player. Despite his son's lack of athletic talent, Jeong expressed his full support, saying, "He's not very good, but he loves it. I'm just here to cheer him on."
Jeong further shared a humorous anecdote about a conversation he had with his son regarding the family business. "My son asked me, 'Don't I have to take over the business eventually?' and I told him, 'No, I won't make you run a small business.' But he replied, 'Eventually, I'll have to take over, right?'"
Jeong's decision to keep his son out of the family business has sparked interest among fans and industry insiders alike. While many celebrity chefs choose to pass down their culinary legacies to their children, Jeong's decision to allow his son to pursue his own passions is a refreshing departure from the norm.
