"Taste of Japan" Celebrated in Busan with Culinary Event

Busan recently hosted a unique culinary event, "Chef's Invitation to Busan," organized by tourism marketing company InPainter Global, which aimed to bring the flavors of Japan to local palates and inspire travel. The event featured renowned chefs Kwon Oh-joon of Takumi-gon, a celebrated Japanese culinary researcher and master of aged sushi, and Oputiber Park Joon-woo, who collaborated to create dishes inspired by their travels.
Chef Kwon Oh-joon, known for his global culinary explorations, particularly in Japan, showcased his expertise by presenting dishes that blended his travel experiences with local ingredients. His dedication to discovering unique flavors is highlighted in his video project, "Chef's Travel," where he documents his journeys to source ingredients and meet producers. Recent episodes have featured his visits to Aomori, Akita, Wakayama, and Kobe prefectures.
The Busan event provided attendees with an opportunity to savor the fusion of Japanese culinary traditions and the chefs' innovative approaches. Special guest Matsuda, head of the popular YouTube channel "Osaka People TV" and a French chef based in Japan, also participated, sharing his insights on food and sake. His presence added another layer of expertise and cultural exchange to the event.
