[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES] Samsung C&T Construction Division announced on the 30th that it will hold the ‘2024 FutureScape’ Demo Day event at the Leaders Hall on the first floor of Samsung C&T headquarters in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
‘2024 Futurescape’ is an event jointly hosted by Samsung C&T and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency with the purpose of discovering startups with excellent innovative technologies and ideas and supporting their growth by providing market verification and business partnership opportunities.
This event went beyond the existing construction industry and expanded its scope to ‘Beyond Construction’ by targeting IT and platform-based professional startups. Six startups that were finally selected through a contest held last May will participate. These companies previously shared the results of their PoC (project verification) with Samsung C&T over a period of about four months.
In order to maximize investment attraction in excellent startups, professional investment institutions such as Shinhan Venture Investment, Samsung Venture Investment, and Mark & Company, as well as accelerators (AC) and Samsung C&T affiliates and employees are expected to attend and have an active exchange.
Participating companies will each introduce business plans in fields such as senior living, data, lifestyle, and edutech, and experience booth experiences of collaboration with Samsung C&T.
Cho Hye-jeong, head of Samsung C&T's DxP Business Division, said, "Based on the results of the demo day, we plan to specify a collaborative business model and promote early commercialization. We will continue to discover innovative startups, invest in them, and cooperate in business to take the lead in creating a shared growth ecosystem."
