MINGA GUAZÚ, Paraguay – A brazen highway robbery took place on National Route PY02 in Minga Guazú on Monday night, resulting in the theft of a significant quantity of high-priced cell phones. The incident occurred at the 21-kilometer marker when a cargo and courier truck operated by S&R Express was ambushed by a trio of armed individuals.

The driver of the Mercedes-Benz truck, 39-year-old Aldo Antonio Cabral, was en route to Asunción when his vehicle was abruptly cut off by a blue Toyota Premio. Despite braking sharply, Cabral was unable to prevent a collision with the rear of the car.

Eyewitness accounts (based on the driver's statement) indicate that three armed men, brandishing shotguns, immediately exited the Toyota and forcibly removed Cabral from the truck. The perpetrators then proceeded to loot the cargo, focusing on boxes believed to contain high-value cellular devices.
