Daejeon City is launching the "2025 KORAIL-Linked Tourism Program" in earnest to leverage its geographical advantage as a railway transportation hub, attract more external tourists, and revitalize local tourism.
This program, developed in collaboration with KORAIL, aims to provide tailored transportation support for tourists visiting Daejeon. Visitors who verify their train receipts will be provided with suitable vehicles depending on the size of their group: large buses for groups of 20 to 40 people, medium-sized buses for groups of 10 to 19 people, and vans or passenger cars for small groups of fewer than 10 people.
This year’s program consists of 11 themed courses linking Daejeon’s representative tourist attractions and experiential landmarks, offering customized travel itineraries through the "Kkumssi Family" initiative. Additionally, a "non-contact tour program" will be operated to allow individual travelers to explore Daejeon freely.
The non-contact tour requires pre-registration, and participants who complete designated missions will receive Daejeon City souvenirs and Seongsimdang gift vouchers.
The "2025 KORAIL-Linked Tourism Program" will run from March to December and may end early if the budget is exhausted.
Applications for participation can be made through Naver Smart Store (Daejeon City KORAIL-Linked Tourism), and inquiries can be directed to Living International Co., Ltd. (☎042-254-4455).
Jeon Il-hong, Director of Daejeon City’s Culture, Arts, and Tourism Bureau, stated, "Through the KORAIL-linked tourism program, we aim to widely promote Daejeon’s tourism appeal and provide a more convenient travel environment for external tourists using the railway. Moving forward, we will continue to develop distinctive tourism products unique to Daejeon."
