Seoul, South Korea – Samsung Electronics announced today the expansion of its popular Galaxy Ring with the introduction of two new larger sizes. The tech giant will release sizes 14 and 15 of the smart ring on the 24th, bringing the total number of available sizes to 11. The Galaxy Ring, which offers 24-hour health monitoring, will be available in 53 markets worldwide.
To complement the expanded lineup, Samsung has also rolled out a major update for its Samsung Health app. The updated app now offers a suite of new features designed to improve users' sleep quality. These include mindfulness activities, such as mood tracking and guided breathing, as well as a comprehensive sleep environment report. The latter feature, which will be available in the first half of the year, leverages Samsung's SmartThings IoT platform to analyze various environmental factors, including temperature, humidity, and light levels, and provide personalized recommendations for optimal sleep conditions.
Furthermore, Samsung Health is set to introduce a feature that analyzes users' sleep patterns and suggests the ideal bedtime. These enhancements are aimed at helping users develop healthier sleep habits.
"We are committed to providing innovative solutions that empower individuals to take control of their health and well-being," said Park Heon-su, head of the Digital Health Team at Samsung Electronics' MX Business. "With the expanded Galaxy Ring lineup and the enhanced Samsung Health app, we are making it easier than ever for people to achieve a better night's sleep."
