Chungcheongbuk-do recently held an executive planning report meeting at the provincial government office's New Building Open Yard, presided over by key provincial leadership including Governor Shin Yong-han, Executive Vice Governor Lee Dong-ok, and Economic Vice Governor Lee Bok-won, to thoroughly inspect and review the preparations for the upcoming "2026 Osong Cosmetics & Beauty Expo". Scheduled to take place from October 22 to October 24, 2026, at the Cheongju Osong Convention Center (OSCO), this year’s event marks the 13th edition of South Korea’s premier export-oriented cosmetics trade fair.
The reported execution plan encompasses a holistic approach, detailing comprehensive schedules, optimized venue configurations, safety management protocols, and targeted marketing strategies. Co-hosted by Chungcheongbuk-do and Cheongju-si, and organized by the Osong Bio Promotion Foundation, the expo aims to cement Osong’s status as the heartland of K-Beauty. The venue layout has been meticulously designed to house exhibition booths, conference halls, registration zones, and visitor amenities, placing a heavy strategic focus on maximizing B2B trading opportunities, professional matchmaking, and robust commercial contracts between global buyers and domestic suppliers.
To broaden its appeal beyond trade professionals, the 3-day exhibition will integrate diverse cultural programs, professional seminars, academic conferences, and interactive beauty experience zones where general attendees can directly engage with cutting-edge industry trends. Ahead of the grand opening ceremony on October 22, the provincial government plans to finalize all detailed operational manuals by September 30. Furthermore, promotional momentum will be elevated through specialized media fam tours visiting leading regional cosmetic innovators such as Cosmeka Korea and HP&C, alongside active collaborations with prominent digital influencers to maximize international and domestic exposure. Through these concerted efforts, the 2026 exhibition is projected to host hundreds of exhibiting companies and attract thousands of international trade buyers and public visitors, ultimately driving global market expansion and export vitalization for Korea's dynamic beauty sector.
