At 1 p.m. on December 10, the ‘K-Taekwondo World Heritage Site UNESCO Registration Launching Ceremony of 10 Million Signatures Campaign’ will be successfully held at the Peace Hall of Kyunghee University. This event is hosted by the World Taekwondo Peace Federation, organized by the World Taekwondo Power Festival Organizing Committee and the K-Taekwondo World Cultural Heritage Registration Planning Team, and sponsored by Miracle City World Group and the United Nations Peace and Earth Defense Force (UNPEDC).

At this event, a large number of youth and seniors, domestic and foreign Taekwondo practitioners, and citizens who wish to contribute to the development of Taekwondo will attend and show their passion for Taekwondo's registration as a World Cultural Heritage. In particular, Taekwondo demonstrations by various members, including youth, teenagers, college students, national team members, military and police, seniors, and foreigners, will be presented to attendees.

Taekwondo is more than just a martial art, it is a precious heritage that contains Korean history and culture. This signature campaign is part of an effort to promote the value of Taekwondo to the world and to make it a common heritage of humanity by registering it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The nationwide 10 million signature campaign that started at this event will be carried out online and offline. It is expected that the wishes of all those who signed will be conveyed to UNESCO and serve as a strong driving force for Taekwondo's listing as a World Cultural Heritage.

In addition to the signature campaign, various events and performances will be held at the launch ceremony. The spectacular skills of the Taekwondo demonstration team will be showcased, and various Taekwondo-themed video screenings and experience programs will convey the charm of Taekwondo more vividly.

Starting with this launch ceremony, efforts to register K-Taekwondo as a World Cultural Heritage are expected to progress more actively. With the passionate passion and support of Taekwondo practitioners around the world, the day when Taekwondo will be registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is not far away.
