The Chungbuk Culture Foundation (CEO Kim Kyung-shik) is holding an open call for the "First Half Regular Lease and Collaborative Invitational Exhibitions with City and County Arts and Culture Organizations" for the Chungbuk Gallery Seoul Branch (located on the 2nd floor of Insa Art Center, covering 233.6 square meters) to expand exhibition opportunities for local artists and promote the excellence of Chungbuk fine arts.
The regular lease program aims to provide local artists with dedicated exhibition space so they can smoothly host exhibitions in Seoul. Selected participants will receive comprehensive support for their exhibitions, including digital catalogs, art critiques, promotional services, virtual reality (VR) exhibition recording, and artwork transportation.
The regular lease period for the first half of 2027 spans from January to May 2027, excluding collaborative invitational exhibitions hosted directly by the Foundation. Priority is given to artists based in the Chungbuk region, and lease fees are set at either 1 million KRW or 3 million KRW per two-week period depending on applicant qualifications.
Applications will be accepted from October 27 to November 18, 2026, closing at 6:00 PM. For regular leases, applicants can download the application forms from the "Lease Guide" section of the Chungbuk Gallery Seoul Branch website (www.cbartgallery.com) and apply online. Applications for the collaborative invitational exhibitions with city and county cultural organizations must be submitted via official administrative documents and the manager's email. Detailed qualifications and required documents can be found in the notices on the Foundation and gallery websites.
Selections will be finalized through an exhibition review committee evaluating the capabilities, artistic merit, and exhibition planning appropriateness of the artists or groups. Results will be individually notified and announced on the website in November.
"Through the Chungbuk Gallery Seoul Branch, we aim to support capable local artists in expanding their active presence and networks in Seoul," stated Kim Kyung-shik, CEO of the Chungbuk Culture Foundation.
