The Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Jeon Jae-soo) and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced that they are holding the Busan representative dessert sales exhibition, "Daldal The Market," for seven days starting today (the 6th) at the B1 floor of Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch until November 12. ○ "Daldal The Market" is part of the city's shared growth support project for large enterprises and SMEs, designed to help expand sales channels for local SMEs and small business owners by utilizing large distribution networks. ○ The Busan Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, Sodam Square, and Lotte Department Store are participating in this event.
This event is held under the theme of "Meeting Christmas Early, A Party of Snack Fairies," in connection with the "2026 Korea Grand Festival" (Oct. 29 – Nov. 15), a nation-wide consumption festival. ○ Combined with the Christmas decorations of the Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch Aqua Mall, it is expected to provide unique entertainment and attractions for citizens and tourists visiting the department store ahead of the year-end.
A total of 16 Busan local dessert and snack brands are participating in the sales exhibition to showcase a variety of products featuring "healthy sweetness" and the "taste of Busan." ○ Visitors can enjoy healthy snacks such as sugar-free, flour-free, gluten-free desserts, tofu desserts, and natural ice cream, as well as snacks featuring Busan's unique characteristics, local bakery products, and beverages. Visitors can also enjoy simple meals along with various desserts.
The city has been operating sales exhibitions with large distributors to expand sales channels for local SMEs since 2016, and this event is the second-half exhibition following the first-half exhibition last June. ○ In addition, the city supports market exploration for local SMEs through operations such as the local outstanding product store "Dongbaek Sanghoe," support for participation in SME exhibitions and fairs, hosting the "Busan Brand Festa," and joint purchase consultation meetings for local products by public institutions. ○ The city plans to continue expanding cooperation with the distribution industry so that local companies can secure stable sales channels in the future.
Kim Ki-hwan, Director of the City's Economic Policy Bureau, stated, "This 'Daldal The Market' is a site of win-win cooperation where large distribution networks and local SMEs grow together, as well as an opportunity to promote Busan dessert brands to citizens and tourists," adding, "We hope many citizens will visit ahead of the year-end and enjoy the sweet taste of Busan's local brands."
