The Cheonan Welfare Foundation announced on the 17th that it has selected Inju Cafe Punggyeong Branch as a 'Welfare Leader' in recognition of its consistent participation in community sharing.
The foundation awards a 'Welfare Leader' signboard to companies and organizations that donate 10 million KRW or more annually to express gratitude and encourage continuous sharing.
Inju Cafe Punggyeong Branch is a bakery cafe that opened in Buk-myeon, Cheonan-si last December, and pledged 50 million KRW worth of bakery sponsorship this year. To date, it has delivered warm hearts to the local community by donating a total of 31 million KRW worth of sponsored goods to the Taddum Food Bank, an institution entrusted by the foundation.
Yoo Eun-deok, CEO of Inju Cafe Punggyeong Branch, said, "Following Asan, I wanted to share with neighbors in need in Cheonan as well. We will continue to share with the local community through various methods, including bakeries, in the future."
Lee Nam-dong, executive director of the Cheonan Welfare Foundation, said, "Following the agreement with the Korea Confectionery Association Cheonan Branch last May, it is meaningful that sharing in the local bakery industry has led to actual sponsorship. We will continue to expand cooperation with the private sector so that various local resources can be connected to the welfare sites where they are needed."
Cheonan Mayor Jang Ki-soo said, "Thank you for practicing sharing for our neighbors in need in the local community. I expect that warm sharing for the community will continue in the future."
