Province participates in the "Korea Accommodation Sale Festa" starting on the 22nd to boost stay-based tourism

Chungcheongnam-do announced on the 20th that it is participating in the "2026 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa (Second Half Edition)" in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, aiming to attract domestic travelers to the province, increase their length of stay, and boost local tourism spending this autumn.

The Korea Accommodation Sale Festa is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Tourism Organization, and metropolitan local governments. It aims to ease the burden of accommodation costs for domestic travelers and spread travel demand to non-capital regions by providing accommodation discount benefits.

Through this initiative, the province plans to channel autumn travel demand into local accommodations and vitalize stay-based tourism that leads to spending within the region, such as dining, experiences, and visits to tourist attractions.

Discount coupons will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis—one per person per day—starting from the 22nd until November 8, from 10:00 AM daily through participating online travel agencies.

The issued discount coupons can be used at domestic registered accommodation facilities checking in during the same period, though day-use (daesil) rooms are excluded from the discount. For this autumn edition, six cities and counties within the province—Dangjin, Boryeong, Seosan, Seocheon, Taean, and Hongseong—are included as target areas for the island region special edition.

Under the main program, travelers can receive discounts of 20,000 KRW for booking accommodation products priced at 20,000 KRW or more and under 70,000 KRW, 30,000 KRW for bookings of 70,000 KRW or more, and 70,000 KRW for multi-night bookings of 140,000 KRW or more.

Additionally, under the island region special edition, discounts include 30,000 KRW for booking accommodation products priced at 30,000 KRW or more and under 70,000 KRW, and 50,000 KRW for bookings of 70,000 KRW or more.

"This Accommodation Sale Festa is a great opportunity to provide travelers with practical accommodation cost discounts and attract autumn tourism demand into our province," a provincial official stated. "We will strive to revitalize stay-based tourism so that accommodations naturally lead to sightseeing and spending, bringing new energy to the local tourism industry and economy."
