[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES] Kia announced that it plans to launch the largest number of new cars ever over the next two years.
Kia is taking aggressive steps to expand its market share by launching the largest number of new vehicles ever in the two years from 2025 to 2026. In particular, the ambition is to lead the future mobility market by strengthening the electric vehicle lineup.
On the 25th, Kia announced its third quarter performance announcement and announced that it plans to launch the largest number of new vehicles in Kia history from 2025 to 2026. Joo Woo-jeong, vice president and head of Kia's finance division, emphasized, "The launch of a new car will be an opportunity for Kia to take a leap forward."
Kia achieved solid performance in the third quarter of this year, recording an operating profit of 2.8813 trillion won. Despite the reflection of provisions due to extended warranties for some vehicle models, the company recorded a high operating profit ratio of 10.9%, exceeding market expectations.
Kia is responding flexibly to market changes through a mixed production system based on high product competitiveness and brand reliability. In addition, profitability was improved by increasing the proportion of recreational vehicles (RVs), reducing material costs, and improving products.
Kia continues to invest in technology development to lead the future mobility market. Vice President Joo Woo-jeong emphasized, “We will prioritize securing technology in all decision-making processes,” and announced that we will continue to prepare for the future era of mobility.
Kia's aggressive new car launch plan is raising market expectations. In particular, the growth potential in the electric vehicle market is highly evaluated. However, since uncertainties such as high interest rates and economic recession still exist, attention is focused on how long the effect of new car launches will last.
