Incheon, South Korea – Hyundai AutoEver, a leading IT services company, has announced a new partnership with Incheon International Airport Corporation to enhance the mobility experience for airport travelers. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to provide more accurate and comprehensive navigation services, leveraging digital map technology.
Hyundai AutoEver has already constructed indoor maps of Incheon International Airport’s parking facilities for integration into its vehicle navigation systems. The airport corporation, on the other hand, possesses a vast database encompassing indoor maps, facility information, and real-time passenger data. By combining these data sources, Hyundai AutoEver will offer innovative mobility services to both drivers and airport users.
The official Incheon Airport mobile app, “Incheon Airport+,” will be integrated with traffic and parking data provided by Hyundai AutoEver. This integration will enable the app to offer advanced parking information services, such as real-time and predicted congestion levels.
Furthermore, Hyundai AutoEver is developing a new mobile app that will provide additional convenience for drivers. For instance, upon arriving at the parking lot, the app will suggest the optimal walking route from the parking area to the boarding gate, considering real-time congestion levels at immigration checkpoints.
“By leveraging our 20 years of experience in navigation technology, including indoor map construction and route optimization, we aim to provide seamless mobility services to Incheon International Airport passengers, from the moment they arrive by car to the time they board their flight,” said Seo Dong-kwon, head of the Navigation Business Division at Hyundai AutoEver.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in enhancing the passenger experience at Incheon International Airport. By combining Hyundai AutoEver's expertise in digital mapping and navigation with the airport's vast data resources, the two companies are set to revolutionize airport travel.
