This festival, set in an open urban space, promises a day filled with diverse interactive experiences and captivating performances, designed to be enjoyed by the entire family.

The event will feature a wide range of hands-on programs aimed at fostering creativity and stimulating the five senses of young participants. Children can look forward to engaging in activities such as catching loach ('Miukkiraji Japgi'), playing cornhole, getting fun face stickers, and enjoying a cypress wood play area ('Pyeonbaek Nori'). For those with boundless energy, the festival will also offer inflatable bouncy castles ('Air Bouncer'), water gun fights ('Mulgchong Nori'), bubble shows ('Bibune Bangul Nori'), and a natural wooden playground ('Namu Noriteo').

Adding to the festive atmosphere, a vibrant lineup of stage performances is scheduled throughout the day. Attendees can enjoy a captivating integrated orchestra performance, a mesmerizing bubble magic show, and dynamic dance and band performances by local children and teenagers.

A city official stated, "We aim to create an unforgettable Children's Day for our young residents and provide a warm and joyful day for families to connect and enjoy quality time together. We anticipate a large number of visitors, and therefore, some roads around Okjeong Lake Park will be closed on the day of the event. We strongly encourage the public to utilize public transportation."

To further enhance the festival experience, Yangju City has incorporated additional elements to cater to a wider range of interests and age groups. Based on information gathered from previous similar events and local community feedback, the 2025 festival will also include:

Creative Arts and Crafts Zone: This area will offer various stations where children can engage in hands-on art projects, such as making paper crafts, painting, and creating their own festive decorations. This aims to encourage artistic expression and provide tangible souvenirs of the day.
Traditional Korean Games: To introduce children to Korea's rich cultural heritage, the festival will feature traditional games like 'Tuho' (arrow throwing) and 'Jegichagi' (shuttlecock kicking). These games offer a fun and engaging way to learn about Korean traditions.
Food Trucks and Refreshment Stalls: A selection of food trucks and stalls will be available, offering a variety of snacks, meals, and refreshing beverages to keep families energized throughout the day. Options will cater to different tastes and dietary needs.
Character Meet-and-Greets: Popular children's characters will make appearances throughout the day, providing opportunities for photo sessions and memorable interactions for the young attendees.
Safety and Information Booth: A dedicated booth will be set up to provide information about the festival schedule, activity locations, and safety guidelines. First-aid services will also be available on-site.
Parent Relaxation Area: Recognizing the needs of accompanying adults, a designated relaxation area with seating and shade will be provided, allowing parents to take a break while still keeping an eye on their children.
Environmental Awareness Activities: In line with promoting civic responsibility, the festival will include interactive booths focused on environmental awareness, teaching children about recycling and conservation in a fun and engaging manner.
The Yangju Children's Day Festival at Okjeong Lake Park promises to be a vibrant and engaging event, offering a diverse range of activities and performances designed to create lasting memories for children and their families. The city's efforts to enhance the festival with additional attractions and amenities underscore its commitment to providing a memorable and enjoyable Children's Day celebration for the community. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to take advantage of public transportation to access the event and partake in the festive atmosphere.
