Additionally, machine learning is employed to detect patterns in fraudulent calls.
Since its commercial launch earlier this year, ScamVanguard has been integrated into SK Telecom's A. service, providing users with real-time protection against spam calls and potential scams. The technology has also been incorporated into the company's authentication app, PASS, and its chat platform, Chat+.
Key Features of ScamVanguard:
Deep learning-based phishing detection: Accurately identifies suspicious messages and alerts users to potential threats.
AI-powered social media monitoring: Detects and prevents social engineering scams on popular platforms.
Machine learning-based fraud call detection: Identifies patterns in fraudulent calls to block them proactively.
Impact and Future Plans
ScamVanguard has proven to be highly effective in combating mobile fraud, blocking an average of 1.3 million suspected fraudulent messages and calls per month. To expand its reach, SK Telecom has partnered with IBK Bank to integrate ScamVanguard into the bank's customer protection solution, SurPASS.
Quote from SK Telecom representative: "We are honored to receive the CES Best of Innovation award for ScamVanguard.
