The Chungcheongnam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services announced that it held the "2026 Agri-Food Processing Partnering Technology Briefing Session" on the 5th at the Healing Agriculture Center within the institute, with 20 working-level officials from provincial and city/county agricultural product comprehensive processing centers in attendance.
This briefing session was prepared to promote the field utilization and spread of agri-food processing technologies independently developed by the provincial agricultural research institute, and to strengthen technical exchange and cooperation between researchers and processing center staff in cities and counties.
Departing from a one-sided introduction of technologies, the briefing was conducted in a customized technical consultation format reflecting field demands.
Centered on technologies of interest submitted in advance by attendees, group consultation tables were formed, and the researchers in charge explained the main details and utilization plans of 12 self-developed processing technologies, such as sweet potato pudding and sprouted soybean-added crackers.
During the comprehensive consulting session, city/county processing centers shared technical difficulties experienced during product development and sought solutions.
In particular, focusing on specific challenges raised in the field, such as "reducing the grassy smell of raw pumpkin powder" and "preventing layer separation during ginger syrup production," researchers and attendees exchanged opinions and provided practical technical advice.
An official from the provincial agricultural research and extension services stated, "Even excellent processing technologies cannot fully exert their value if they are not utilized in the field," adding, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with city/county agricultural product comprehensive processing centers so that self-developed processing technologies are put to use in farm fields and lead to the development of competitive processed products."
