The Gwangju Tourism Organization is promoting the diverse tourism contents and the charm of regional tourism companies in the Jeonnam-Gwangju Unified Special City to visitors nationwide.
The Corporation announced that it will participate in the "2026 Local Content Festa," held at KINTEX in Ilsan for three days from September 18 to 20, by operating a promotional booth for the Gwangju Tourism Business Support Center.
Amid growing attention toward local contents utilizing unique regional culture, nature, and historical resources as new tourism assets, the Corporation plans to introduce Jeonnam-Gwangju's distinctive culture and tourism contents to event participants.
The promotional booth will intensively promote the "2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition" and the "Gwangju Biennale," alongside "Mudeung Forest," a tourism content utilizing Gwangju's natural resources.
Along with this, the booth will introduce key support programs promoted by the Gwangju Tourism Business Support Center—such as tourism company discovery and nurturing, commercialization, and market expansion—while showcasing products and tourism contents from the center's tenant companies.
On-site promotional videos for the center and tenant companies will be screened, and various corporate products will be exhibited to highlight the business achievements and competitiveness of regional tourism companies, while raising awareness of the companies and their products among tourism industry insiders and visitors.
In addition, participatory programs such as SNS follow events will be operated to encourage visits and provide visitors with a friendly opportunity to experience the tourism contents and regional tourism companies of Jeonnam-Gwangju.
"This Local Contents Festa will be a great opportunity to nationwide promote the excellent culture and tourism resources possessed by Jeonnam-Gwangju, as well as the competitiveness of local tourism companies," said Jung Jae-young, President of the Gwangju Tourism Organization. "In particular, along with promoting international events held in the region such as the 2026 Yeosu World Island Exhibition and the Gwangju Biennale, we will actively work to ensure that region-unique contents lead to actual tourism demand creation and business market expansion."
