The World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (World-OKTA, Chairman Park Jong-beom) supported the entry of domestic carbon and composite materials companies into the Chinese and overseas markets by utilizing its local network in Shanghai, China.

World-OKTA announced that it operated the Korea Pavilion for seven domestic carbon companies participating in the "China Composites Expo 2026 (CCE 2026)" held in Shanghai, China, from September 1 to 3, conducting a total of 146 consultations with overseas buyers during the exhibition period. Among these, two led to the signing of on-site Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).

This initiative was arranged as part of the "2026 Carbon Enterprise Overseas Expansion Support Project," promoted in cooperation with the Korea Institute of Carbon Convergence Technology. CCE 2026 featured approximately 700 companies and 20,000 industry professionals showcasing the latest technologies and products in the carbon and composite materials industry.

Seven domestic carbon materials and parts companies participated in the Korea Pavilion, including Gangnam KPI, Kukdo Chemical, Smart Korea, MCEL, Ilsung Composite, Clean Tech, and Hankuk Carbon. Based on their respective technological capabilities, the participating companies unveiled a variety of products such as epoxy, activated carbon, carbon-based heating materials, carbon fiber composites, electric vehicle battery cases, and antistatic work clothes.

World-OKTA provided comprehensive support for exhibition participation, including operating the Korea Pavilion, logistics for exhibition items, and local buyer consultations. In particular, the World-OKTA Shanghai Chapter utilized its local network to assign seven members as dedicated personnel for each company, working hard to facilitate buyer consultations, interpretation, and connections with local businesses.

This support based on the local network led to actual business results. MCEL, a carbon-based heating material company, signed a $20,000 MOU with Yoon Networks (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., while Clean Tech, which produces carbon fiber-applied work clothes, signed a $10,000 MOU with DINO TEXTILE Co., Ltd. Both agreements were achieved through business exchanges with members of the Shanghai Chapter.

World-OKTA plans to support follow-up discussions so that the consultations and MOUs conducted at this exhibition can lead to actual transactions, and continuously back the overseas market pioneering of domestic carbon companies by utilizing local networks, including the Shanghai Chapter.
