Bae Doona Appointed as Jury Member for the 76th Berlin International Film Festival

BERLIN - Actress Bae Doona will serve as a jury member for the 76th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) scheduled for next month, the festival organizers announced on the 28th (local time).
Bae will join fellow jurors, including directors Reinaldo Marcus Green (USA) and Min Bahadur Bham (Nepal), to select the winners of the competition section, including the Golden Bear for Best Film. The jury will be chaired by renowned German director Wim Wenders.
From the Korean film industry, actress Lee Young-ae (2006) and director Bong Joon-ho (2015) have previously served as jurors at the Berlinale.
In this year’s festival, which runs from February 12 to 22, 22 films, including "Queen at Sea" (directed by Lance Hammer) starring Juliette Binoche, will compete for the Golden Bear.
As for Korean cinema, director Hong Sang-soo’s "The Day She Returned"—a regular at the festival—will be screened in the Panorama section, while director Chung Ji-young’s "My Name Is" has been invited to the Forum section. Additionally, director Yoo Jae-in’s feature debut, "The Way to Erase,
