Samcheok City is accepting applications for the 2nd round of the 2025 "Youth Culture and Arts Pass Support Program" from July 7th to November 30th.
The target recipients are 19-year-old youths born between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2006, which corresponds to the age of majority under civil law. However, individuals whose support funds were reclaimed due to non-use after the 1st round of issuance are ineligible to apply for the 2nd round.
The Youth Culture and Arts Pass can be used for performances and exhibitions in pure arts fields, including plays, musicals, classical music, opera, ballet, dance, chorus, traditional Korean music, concerts, music festivals, art, crafts, and animation and character exhibitions. Applications can be made online after registering as a member on the Youth Culture and Arts Pass website, and applicants can choose to use either Interpark Ticket Points or YES24 Ticket Gift Certificates.
This program provides 150,000 won per person for performance and exhibition viewing to all youths born in 2006, regardless of income. It aims to expand cultural and artistic enjoyment opportunities for young people and foster their growth as cultural citizens.
A city official stated, "We hope this program serves as an opportunity for Samcheok's youth to experience diverse culture and arts and grow as main agents of cultural consumption."
