[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES] Must Accelerator, a domestic startup nurturing company, announced on the 24th that it held the 'Must Connect 2024' event at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for two days from the 23rd. This event is an event to promote domestic promising startups overseas.
This event, now in its third year, involved 14 startups in the fields of health care, biotechnology, and sustainability. In the sustainability field, companies such as Watervation, which developed a filter solution to filter water, EightTech, which created a waste sorting robot, and Adia Lab, which manages safety with artificial intelligence (AI), participated. In the health care field, companies such as Brady Healthcare and Able Therapeutics, which use AI to diagnose cognitive disorders early, B&J Biopharma and BioResearch AI, which design new drugs using AI, and Airs, which developed a robot to support fracture surgery, have emerged. It caught my attention.
This event was attended by foreign investment companies such as Singapore's startup support agency SG Innovation and Singtel Innovate, JLabs, an organization that supports innovative companies from global pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson, Singapore Healthcare Innovation Center, and Nanyang Technological University, providing opportunities for exchange with domestic startups. was sought. Accordingly, three companies, including B&J Biopharma, BioResearch AI, and Able Therapeutics, formed an alliance with Nanyang Technological University and Biotech Connection Singapore (BSC), a non-profit organization that supports the biotechnology field, and discussed cooperation plans such as joint research. “Korean startups are dynamic and have great potential,” said Sean Ang, chairman of NUS Alumni Ventures, founded by graduates of the National University of Singapore (NUS). “It will have a linked effect,” he said.
This event was sponsored by several local government startup support organizations, including Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, Incheon Techno Park, Incheon Creative Economy Innovation Center, Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center, and Seoul Startup Hub. Lee Ji-seon, CEO of Must Accelerator, emphasized, “Must Connect focuses on helping participating startups achieve actual results such as investment and sales,” and added, “We will support startups to find more opportunities around the world.”
