PARIS, FRANCE – The Organizing Committee for the 2026 Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo (TIHHE) recently concluded a pivotal three-day promotional campaign at the ‘2025 Korea Expo in Paris,’ held from June 13 to 15 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. This strategic participation underscores the committee’s commitment to elevating the expo’s international profile and drawing a diverse audience of visitors, institutions, and businesses from across France and Europe.
The 2026 Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo, themed "Healthy Future Found in Nature, Horticulture & Healing," is poised to be a landmark event. Scheduled to run for a month, from April 25 to May 24, 2026, the expo will be jointly hosted by Chungcheongnam-do Province and Taean County. Organizers anticipate a robust turnout of 1.82 million visitors from 40 countries, a testament to the growing global interest in sustainable living and well-being.
During the 'Korea Expo in Paris,' a comprehensive exhibition celebrating various facets of Korean culture and industry—from K-Content and K-Food to K-Beauty, K-Lifestyle, and K-Tech—the TIHHE Organizing Committee operated a dedicated pavilion. This promotional hub served as a vital platform to showcase the unique vision and differentiated content of the upcoming horticultural expo. Attendees, including industry stakeholders and the general public, received in-depth presentations on how Taean plans to intertwine nature, horticulture, and healing.
This expo marks the third large-scale international horticultural event for Chungcheongnam-do and Taean-gun, following successful iterations in 2002 and 2009. However, the 2026 edition distinguishes itself by pivoting beyond traditional floral displays to emphasize the therapeutic benefits of horticulture. The sprawling exhibition will encompass 45.7 hectares within the Kkotji District and an additional 42 hectares at the Anmyeon-do Arboretum, making it one of Korea's most extensive floral spectacles.
The TIHHE is designed to offer a rich tapestry of interactive and immersive experiences focused on both mental and physical well-being. Visitors can look forward to engaging in practical gardening workshops, therapeutic food classes, and unique campus farming experiences. The expo will also feature horticultural counseling sessions and plant decoration programs, providing tangible ways for attendees to connect with the healing power of plants.
Beyond its core horticultural offerings, the expo promises a vibrant array of special events and cultural performances. "National Days" will highlight the unique contributions and traditions of participating countries, while evening attractions like Drone Light Shows and Hologram Shows will transform the coastal park into a mesmerizing spectacle. Other planned highlights include a Guinness World Record challenge for flower dyeing, various themed night events, and diverse culinary experiences that celebrate local produce and global flavors.
The Organizing Committee also utilized its presence in Paris to conduct crucial market research, engaging in business meetings and surveys with local officials. This initiative aimed to gain insights into European tourism policies, prevailing travel trends, and visitor preferences, which will directly inform the development of customized marketing strategies for the expo.
"Our on-site promotion at the Korea Expo in Paris confirmed the significant interest from the French and broader European markets," stated an official from the Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo Organizing Committee. "We are committed to fostering international collaborations to ensure a truly global participation." The committee, composed of 57 members across three headquarters and ten teams, is actively working to lay the groundwork for international academic conferences and seminars, intending to draw experts and thought leaders from around the world to Taean.
The 2026 Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo is not just an event; it's envisioned as a global convergence where nature, cutting-edge horticultural practices, and therapeutic wellness intersect, promising a "Healthy Future Found in Nature."
