The domestic driving range certification and electric vehicle government subsidy have been finalized for the rear-motor variant of Polestar's flagship electric SUV, the 'Polestar 3'.

According to Polestar Korea, the Polestar 3 rear motor received a certified domestic driving range of 454km on a single charge, and its government subsidy was confirmed at 1.62 million won. The domestic retail price is 77.9 million won.

Applying only the government subsidy brings the vehicle price down to the 76.28 million won range. The actual purchase price may vary depending on the application of regional local government subsidies.

When the Polestar 3 was launched in South Korea last July, it was unveiled in three trims—rear motor, dual motor, and performance—but the domestic certified driving range for the rear motor had not yet been finalized. With this certification, the domestic lineup certification process for the Polestar 3 has come to a close.

The rear motor is the entry-level model in the Polestar 3 lineup, starting at 77.9 million won. Having secured the government subsidy as well, it has become a relatively accessible option for customers looking for a premium electric SUV priced under 80 million won.

Building on the completion of the rear motor certification, Polestar Korea plans to accelerate domestic sales of the Polestar 3.

With the price, subsidies, and the 454km domestic certified driving range of the Polestar 3 all confirmed, the conditions are now fully in place for consumers to directly compare purchase costs and various other conditions with competing models.
