SUWON — The Suwon City Support Center for Childcare announced that it will host the "Re:Toy - Toy Market" on October 17, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the main auditorium on the 2nd floor of the center.
Marking its second iteration following its successful run in 2023, the Toy Market is an eco-friendly community event where toys and books previously used in the center's toy library are sold at affordable prices or given away for free, promoting resource recycling in daily life.
During the event, around 600 items—including sensory play tools, building blocks, musical and pretend-kitchen toys, large toy cars, slides, and saucers—will be sold at budget-friendly prices. Additionally, approximately 1,000 infant and children's DVDs will be distributed free of charge.
The event is open to families with infants and toddlers in Suwon, as well as any interested citizens. Detailed schedules and information can be found on the Suwon City Support Center for Childcare Website.
The center's toy library offers a wide variety of parenting support services beyond lending toys, including the rental of 100th-day and first-birthday party tables and traditional costumes, free toy repairs, parent education on toy maintenance, and a spent-battery exchange program.
"We hope that the experience of sharing and reusing toys will provide children and parents with a natural opportunity to learn the true value of resource circulation," said Lim Hae-young, Director of the Suwon City Support Center for Childcare.
