The Seoul Design Foundation has announced a strategic partnership with LG Electronics to deploy ultra-large displays at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), transforming the landmark into a vibrant digital canvas. Under this agreement, the foundation will operate 11 high-performance screens, featuring 110-inch ultra-high-definition (UHD) digital signage previously used in DDP exhibitions.

Digital signage, designed to convey visual information, will act as a shared digital canvas for citizens and designers. By integrating artificial intelligence design and immersive media art, the infrastructure fosters a sustainable exhibition and creative ecosystem for public engagement.

The collaboration focuses on creating future value for Seoul's design industry, establishing immersive digital display environments using LG's UHD technology, linking DDP exhibitions with advanced screen solutions, and executing joint marketing campaigns.

Seoul Design Foundation CEO Kang Hyung-hee noted that recycling exhibition technology into ongoing creative assets enriches public experiences. LG Electronics Managing Director Ji In-sook added that LG's proprietary technology will deliver an immersive customer experience, allowing visitors to deeply appreciate contemporary culture and innovative design.
