Gyeongsangbuk-do is holding a special promotional event titled "Cheer Up Korea! Daily Chuseok Fruit Special Exhibition" at 60 major Hanaro Marts nationwide for 14 days from September 3 to 16, aiming to ease consumers' grocery burdens and promote the consumption of Gyeongbuk fruits ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

This special exhibition is designed to provide consumers with reasonable purchasing opportunities and secure stable distribution channels for production areas to support smooth consumption of shipment volumes, focusing on Hongro apples and Shine Muscat, whose demand increases during the Chuseok peak season.

During the event period, a total of 181 tons of Gyeongbuk fruits, including Hongro apples and Shine Muscat, will be supplied to lower consumer burdens. Hongro apples will be specially sold at an 18% discount from September 3 to 9, and Shine Muscat from September 10 to 16, respectively.

The event focuses its promotions mainly on major Hanaro Marts in the metropolitan area, including Yangjae and Chang-dong in Seoul, as well as Seongnam, Goyang, and Samsong, allowing consumers preparing for Chuseok to more easily access high-quality Gyeongbuk-grown fruits.

Eight major local production organizations within the province, including Daegyeong Apple Horticultural Agricultural Cooperative, Yeongju Agricultural Cooperative, Mungyeong Agricultural Cooperative, and Punggi Agricultural Cooperative, are participating in this special exhibition to promote the excellent quality of Gyeongbuk's fruit integrated brand "Daily" and enhance brand awareness and consumer trust.

Gyeongsangbuk-do expects this event to alleviate consumer price burdens during the Chuseok peak season while simultaneously promoting the consumption of fruits whose shipments are concentrated, helping secure stable sales channels and income stability for local farmers.

Park Chan-guk, Director of the Agriculture, Livestock and Distribution Bureau of Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, "Ahead of Chuseok, we have prepared this special exhibition so that consumers can purchase high-quality Gyeongbuk fruits without burden. We will continue to expand distribution and promotional events to provide reasonable prices to consumers and stable sales channels to farmers."

Meanwhile, Gyeongsangbuk-do plans to continuously pursue promotional events linked with large distribution companies centered around the fruit integrated brand "Daily," expanding consumer touchpoints to enhance the brand and market competitiveness of Gyeongbuk fruits.
