Financial Supervisory Service Launches 'FSS Investment Explorers' Program for Middle and High School Students

The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) is launching the 'FSS Investment Explorers' program, a financial investment experience education program for middle and high school students, to nurture future financial talents. This program is designed to help students gain a proper understanding of financial investment and develop healthy investment habits through various experiential activities.
Program Overview:
Name: FSS Investment Explorers
Period: April to December 2025 (excluding vacations)
Target: Middle and high school students nationwide (school unit application, 20-30 students)
Location: Financial Supervisory Service and Korea Investor Education Foundation (Yeouido, Seoul)
Application Period: March 6 to 19, 2025
Application Method: Career Experience Support Center 'Dream-gil' and FSS 'e-Financial Education Center' website
Key Program Contents:
Visit to the FSS Public Relations Center (Financial Maru): Understand the role and functions of the FSS.
Financial Board Game: Learn the basic principles of asset management and investment through games.
Financial Investment Experience Center: Experience the actual investment environment through mock investment.
Expert Lectures: Enhance understanding of the financial market through lectures by financial experts.
Expected Effects:
Students develop a positive perception of financial investment.
Develop the ability to make rational investment decisions.
Form healthy investment habits to prepare for future economic independence.
Additional Information:
The program is held 2-3 times a month, and participating schools are selected by random draw.
FSS plans to expand customized financial education programs that have high student participation and satisfaction, and strengthen collaboration and communication with regional education offices and regional financial companies to increase the financial education implementation rate.
Through the 1 company 1 school financial education jump up program, 3.69 million elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide participated in classes from 2015 to 2024.
An FSS official said, "We expect that students will develop an interest in financial investment early on and experience rational investment decision-making directly, which will help them form healthy investment habits to prepare for future economic independence."
