Chungbuk Province announced on the 14th that it signed a "Business Agreement for Supporting Youth Regional Settlement and Growth" with the Youth Foundation (an affiliate of the Office for Government Policy Coordination) at the Open Courtyard of the Provincial Office, agreeing to join forces to create a stable life and foundation for self-reliance among youth.
This agreement was arranged to promote youth-centric policies by mutually linking and utilizing the capabilities and networks of both organizations so that young people can securely plant roots in the region and realize their dreams.
Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to closely pursue practical tasks encompassing all aspects of youth life, including:
-Developing region-tailored youth policy models
-Discovering support projects for youth self-reliance and growth
-Co-utilizing youth resources and networks
In particular, under the slogan of the 9th popular election term, "By the Young: Youth-Led Chungbuk Grand Transformation," Chungbuk Province is boldly shifting the paradigm of youth policies by establishing youth not merely as policy beneficiaries, but as proud proprietors of provincial administration.
Notably, the province enacted and implemented the "Ordinance on the Establishment of the Chungbuk Youth Committee and Support for Activating Youth Participation," and consequently began recruiting members for the Youth Committee starting on the 12th. Any young person aged 19 to 39 residing in the province can apply, with plans to organize a committee of 100 members.
Ahead of the Youth Committee's launch in late November, the province plans to actively reflect youth voices in provincial administration and push forward with the "Youth-Led Provincial Administration Grand Transformation" leveraging this agreement as a turning point.
Governor Shin Yong-han emphasized, "Chungbuk's youth policies will become even more solid through this companionship with the Youth Foundation," adding, "We will lay a reliable stepping stone so that the challenges and growth of young people can lead to a sustainable future for Chungbuk."
Chairman Oh Chang-seok responded, "The foundation's rich experience and expertise will meet Chungbuk Province's innovative youth policies to create synergy," pledging, "We will spare no practical support so that Chungbuk youth can safely unfold their futures."
