Incheon, South Korea – Korean Air celebrated the resumption of its Incheon-Kumamoto, Japan route on November 24th with a special ceremony held at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2. Korean Air flight KE777, departing from Incheon International Airport and arriving at Aso Kumamoto Airport, resumed its service on the same day.
This marks the return of Korean Air flights to Kumamoto after a 27-year hiatus. The airline first launched flights to Kumamoto in April 1991, but suspended the route in 1997.
The Incheon-Kumamoto flight, KE777, takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, while the return flight takes about 2 hours. This short-haul international route offers passengers a convenient travel experience.
Korean Air is operating the route with an Airbus A321neo aircraft, featuring 8 seats in Prestige class and 174 seats in Economy class, for a total capacity of 182 seats. The latest Airbus aircraft significantly reduces carbon emissions and is optimized for safe and comfortable flight. The Prestige class offers 180-degree flat-bed seats, while the Economy class provides 33-centimeter personal monitors, multi-adjustable headrests, and individual coat hangers for passenger comfort. In-flight Wi-Fi is also available.
