Seoul, South Korea – Korean Air announced on November 26th that it will be extending its popular Coatroom service for winter travelers at Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 2. The service, which allows passengers to store their winter coats for free during their travels, will be available from December 1st, 2024, to February 28th, 2025.
Introduced in 2005, the Coatroom service has been a staple for winter travelers, providing a convenient way to store bulky winter coats while enjoying their trips to warmer climates. The service is available to all international passengers departing from Terminal 2 on Korean Air flights. Passengers can store one coat per person for up to five days free of charge. After five days, a storage fee of 2,500 won per day will be applied.
Location Changes Due to Terminal Expansion
Due to the ongoing expansion of Terminal 2, the location for coat storage has been temporarily relocated. Until the completion of the expansion, passengers can drop off their coats at the Hanjin Express counter near gate K3 on the 3rd floor, after completing their check-in procedures. Upon the completion of the expansion, the drop-off location will be moved to the Hanjin Express counter near gate A3.
For the convenience of SkyTeam Elite Plus members, including first and prestige class passengers, a dedicated counter will be available at C36 before the expansion and A32 after the expansion.
24-Hour Service
The Coatroom service operates 24 hours a day. However, the dedicated counters at C36 and A32 will be open from 5:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Passengers can also use the Hanjin Express counters or storage facilities during other hours.
Storage and Retrieval
Stored coats can be retrieved from the Hanjin Express storage facility located on the B1 floor, next to Hana Bank, by presenting the storage receipt.
Professional Care
Korean Air has partnered with a specialized company to ensure that stored coats are handled with care and returned in pristine condition.
By providing this convenient service, Korean Air aims to enhance the travel experience for its passengers during the winter months.
