Ambassador Hyuk-Sang Sohn participated on May 26 in the signing ceremony of the Discussion Memorandum for the project “Strengthening the Capacity of Small Farmers in Paraguay to Adapt to Climate Change” (2026/USD 12 million), between KOICA and the Paraguayan Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG).
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of Paraguayan small-scale farmers to respond to climate change and ensure the stability of their agricultural production. Among those participating in the ceremony were Ambassador Hyuk-Sang Sohn, KOICA Office Director Shin Hye-young, and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Carlos Giménez.
Ambassador Hyuk-Sang Sohn emphasized that the San Pedro Department, the project's implementation area, has a close connection to the history of Korean immigration, making this cooperation particularly significant. Minister Carlos Giménez expressed his hope that Korean agricultural technology can be successfully applied and disseminated in accordance with local conditions.
