Krafton's popular mobile game, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has announced a new partnership with Indian automotive giant Mahindra. The collaboration will see the introduction of Mahindra's electric SUV, the BE 6, within the game.
Starting from March 12th, BGMI players can experience the BE 6 in-game. To commemorate this partnership, players can also collect various in-game items inspired by the BE 6, including the Quantum Suit, Chrono Charge Suit, Bolt Tracer Gun, and Neon Drop BE 6 parachute.
As a highlight of this collaboration, a special event will be held where players can win an actual BE 6. By completing in-game missions and creating a 30-second video featuring the BGMI BE 6, players can participate. The most creative video will be selected to win the grand prize.
Since its launch in 2021, BGMI has become a national phenomenon in India, surpassing 200 million downloads. The game has also made significant contributions to India's esports ecosystem, becoming the first Indian game to be broadcast live on TV, with a peak concurrent viewership of 24 million and a total viewership of 200 million.
BGMI has solidified its position as India's most popular mobile game through various collaborations. The game has partnered with numerous Indian celebrities, including national actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, as well as Neeraj Chopra, India's first Olympic gold medalist in athletics. Additionally, BGMI has successfully collaborated with popular Indian cricket teams and various Bollywood movie IPs.
"BGMI has been continuously collaborating with renowned Indian companies and IPs to provide our Indian users with engaging and immersive experiences," said Hyunil Son, Head of Krafton India. "We will continue to partner with leading local companies to offer Indian users a wider range of new gaming experiences."
