Orlando, Florida: Polling Station at 'Woosung Oriental Food Market'

In Florida, the overseas polling station will be located at 'Woosung Oriental Food Market' (5079 Edgewater Dr, Orlando, FL 32810), a Korean-operated grocery store. Florida's overseas Korean voters can cast their ballots from Thursday, May 22nd to Sunday, May 24th, between 8 AM and 5 PM daily. Orlando, a major city in central Florida with a significant Korean community, is expected to offer easy access for voters.

Atlanta, Georgia: Six-Day Voting Period at 'Korean American Association of Atlanta'

The overseas polling station in Georgia will be set up at the Korean American Association of Atlanta. Notably, Georgia offers an extended six-day voting period to enhance voter convenience. Atlanta's overseas Koreans can participate in the election from Tuesday, May 20th to Sunday, May 25th, including weekends, between 8 AM and 5 PM daily. Atlanta, the economic and cultural hub of the southeastern U.S., is home to a large overseas Korean population, anticipating a high voter turnout.

Polling Stations Also in Montgomery, Alabama and Raleigh, North Carolina

In addition to Orlando and Atlanta, overseas polling stations will also operate in Montgomery, Alabama, and Raleigh, North Carolina. The Montgomery polling station will be located at the local Korean association hall, and the Raleigh polling station will be at the First Korean Baptist Church of Raleigh. Both locations will conduct voting from Thursday, May 22nd to Sunday, May 24th, between 8 AM and 5 PM daily, similar to Florida. This measure supports the suffrage rights of overseas Koreans residing in these areas.

Valid ID and Overseas Voter Registration Confirmation Required

The Consulate General of Atlanta emphasizes that voters must bring a valid form of identification to participate in the overseas election. Acceptable IDs include original Korean government-issued IDs with a photo, such as passports, resident registration cards, and driver's licenses. Overseas voters (permanent residents) must also present their permanent resident card or a valid visa along with their ID to prove they are not foreign nationals. This is a mandatory procedure to ensure the fairness of the election and prevent voter fraud.
