▲ Yeoju City holds a meeting with members of the National Assembly to resolve pending issues

Yeoju City held a meeting with Kim Seon-kyo, a member of the 22nd National Assembly, at the National Assembly Hall in Seoul on August 27. 

Fifteen people, including Yeoju Mayor Lee Choong-woo and the director, attended the event, and eight people, including National Assembly member Kim Seon-kyo and senior secretaries, attended the National Assembly member's office and exchanged various opinions for the development of Yeoju City.

At the meeting, ▲increasing the total limit of local subsidies ▲dredging of national river beds [Cheongmicheon and Bokhecheon] ▲selection of districts for starting the Bugu District drainage improvement project and allocation of budget ▲revision of laws and regulations related to lifting agricultural promotion areas ▲promotion of new metropolitan bus routes in Yeoju City ▲ We requested active cooperation on 12 major pending issues in Yeoju City, including the construction of Gangcheon Station on the Yeoju-Wonju double-track subway, and for the development of Yeoju, including discussions on reasonable solutions to major local issues and strategic measures to secure national funds. I had time to communicate with members of the National Assembly.

Yeoju Mayor Lee Choong-woo said, “I am grateful that the National Assembly member is actively helping with the pending issues of Yeoju City. If this pending issue can be resolved, it will be of great help to the development of Yeoju City, so I hope you will pay more attention to it.”

National Assembly member Seongyo Kim said, “It is important to check and take care of local issues, and we will actively cooperate for the development of Yeoju City,” and added, “We will not spare any budget and policy support necessary to resolve the pending issues in Yeoju City.”

This was a valuable meeting where we shared common opinions that if we work together for the development of Yeoju City, remarkable results will be visible in a faster time.

Meanwhile, Yeoju City plans to continuously communicate with members of the National Assembly and seek various ways for the development of Yeoju City.
