[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES] The 16th Gangneung Coffee Festival will be held in the Gangneung Coffee Street (Anmok) area from October 24th to 27th under the theme “Coffee meets the sea again.”
Gangneung City and the Gangneung Cultural Foundation changed the festival location to Gangneung Coffee Street to promote a festival that harmonizes with the sea in the birthplace of the coffee festival, breaking away from the method of holding it in the form of an exhibition.
Traffic congestion and parking difficulties near the festival site were expected, so the Coffee Street section from the Anmok intersection intersection was operated as one-way and a temporary parking lot was created. A temporary circular city bus route was added along with the existing bus route to allow people to visit the festival site through public transportation. did it
The three routes expected to be used the most by visitors are: ① Ojukheon ~ Gyeongpodae ~ Gyeongpo Lake ~ Event Venue, ② Sports Complex ~ Green City Experience Center ~ Event Venue, ③ Gangneung Station ~ Jungang Market ~ Event Venue, 3 city buses each for a total of 9 buses. By increasing the number of temporary circulation routes,
In particular, the three routes were named ① Cappuccino, ② Americano, and ③ Espresso to match the characteristics of the coffee festival, adding to the fun of using public transportation for visitors.
In addition, we plan to actively promote the existing 18 bus route maps to the coffee festival site (Anmok terminal) so that citizens and tourists can conveniently take the bus from the nearest location to the event site.
An official from Gangneung City said, “Citizens’ participation in using public transportation is judged to be the most important solution to traffic congestion caused by road conditions around the coffee festival site, and for a successful Gangneung Coffee Festival, we hope that all citizens will use public transportation to visit the festival site. .” he said.
