[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES]  The South Chungcheong Office of Education recorded the highest number of medals ever by winning a total of 106 medals (comprehensive score of 16,310 points), including 30 gold medals, 30 silver medals, and 46 bronze medals, at the 105th National Sports Festival held in South Gyeongsang Province. It was revealed that Chungcheongnam-do contributed greatly to achieving 5th place overall.

The Chungnam High School athletes participated in this National Sports Festival with the goal of winning 90 medals and ranking 7th overall, but they performed better than expected and won the most medals ever. Chungnam Sports High School won a total of 42 medals (6 gold, 14 silver, 22 bronze). By winning a medal, the Chungnam Office of Education team greatly contributed to exceeding its goal.

In canoeing, they swept a total of 8 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze), contributing to Chungnam Canoe winning the overall championship in a single event for 10 consecutive years. Asang High School Hockey won a gold medal and won 8 consecutive championships, and won 21 medals in weightlifting. They swept a total of 8 medals (4 gold, 9 silver, 8 bronze) and 8 medals (1 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze) in track and field.

In addition, Cheonan High School volleyball advanced to the finals for three consecutive years, overcoming the pain of last year's runner-up and regaining the championship the year before last, once again showing that it is the best in the country.
